The audax / fast tourers have always been our best selling bikes by far. We now have a choice of four frames to build them onto, the strong and sturdy steel Aravis Reynolds 631audax frame and the less expensive Iceni 520 steel frame, or the light and sleek Tifosi CK7 and CK6 with carbon fibre front forks. It is also possible to choose from a wide variety of specifications and have them fitted out with the Campagnolo Veloce / Comp or Mirage / Champ triple groups or with the Ultegra, 105 or Tiagra triple groups if you prefer the Shimano equipment. All combinations, create very responsive all year road bikes, for touring or training. They are ideal machines for long distance audax type events, or anybody who enjoys riding and owning, a good quality general purpose road bike. One of the unique features of our audax bike, is the ability to fit the Shimano or Tektro deep stirrup dual pivot brakes. Dual pivot brakes are neat and elegant brakes that also provide great stopping power. The Aravis, Tifosi and the Iceni frames, have been designed to accept the longer 57mm stirrups, to create the correct clearance to fit mudguards and if required up to 28mm wide tyres. The Tifosi frames can also be built as a sporty leisure bike for people who are looking for a very impressive and very light flat bar road bike. We also build, all purpose road bikes, these can be used for racing and training as well as audax events. They are basically racing bikes with mudguards and enough clearance for 26mm tyres, we fit them out with double chainsets including the new compact models with 50 x 34 rings if required. The Paganini model with it's aluminium frame, carbon fibre front forks and mid range groups are very light machines, they were instantly popular when first introduced. |
