The Aravis Super
Tourist (expedition bikes) are built onto a Reynolds 631 double
butted, Galaxy style touring frame. |
|
They are an excellent
choice for long distance touring with loaded panniers. |
| There
are several choices of equipment and styles available, from dropped racing type handlebars with STI levers,
dropped bars with retro tec
components, or built
with straight MTB / commuter style handlebars. |
|
They
are all fitted with a triple chainset and 11 to 28 or 32
cassettes. The wide range of gears and the wide tyres will
ensure that the bike will cope well
when ridden in hilly country and on rough loose surface tracks. |
|
Compact frame design, the top tube slopes back. |
|
Light air
hardened Reynolds 631 double butted tig welded main triangle
tubes.
The front forks, seat and chain stays are made Reynolds 520 tubing. |
|
Steel
is still the favourite material for many cyclists because of it's
well proved strength, durability, longevity and reliability. |
| Bosses for
cantilever or V brakes, three
bottle cages and front and rear pannier carrier. |
| Clearance for
mudguards and 700 x 40mm tyres. |

|
The small 17" size
frames are a good choice for a tiny person with short legs, who
has trouble finding a touring frame small enough to fit. |

New bikes are built to order
and take 3 to 4 weeks from firm order to completion. |

We do keep a selection
of our bikes built up for use as come and try demonstrators. |

The bike specifications are
very flexible, it
is possible to change saddles, pedals, tyres, gear ratios and other
components. |
